Set the Captives Free
Freedom Ministry at Reliance Community Church is a continuation of Jesus’ earthly ministry of setting captives free to live abundantly in Him. The goal is to help people rid themselves of every weight and sin so they can run their race with endurance with their eyes fixed on Jesus. (Hebrews 12:1-2)
This work is for every Christian! We all bring “baggage” into our relationship with Christ, we all need our souls renewed, and we all need to learn how to walk in our identity in Christ.
What is Freedom Ministry Like?
Freedom Ministry incorporates Biblical teaching, healing, and deliverance under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, through individual counseling sessions and group settings.
Is this for those coming from dark pasts or just for those struggling to not sin?
It is for anyone looking to be free in Jesus Christ. Isaiah 61 tells us that He "binds the brokenhearted", "gives sight to the blind", and "sets the bound prisoner free." This means freedom in Christ is for everyone, no matter your situation. He offers this by grace in order that there would be "beauty from ashes" and the sinful choices of the past no longer control us and we may be called "oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord that He may be glorified." Sounds good, yes?
