In coming out of the speaking on the Fruit of the Spirit, we now are going to look at what the Bible mentions as the Gifts of the Spirit. Holy Spirit's whole ministry is to reveal Jesus and demonstrate God's power. As believers in Jesus, we hold to the faith that claims we've now been "born again" and that only by the Spirit. If the Fruit of the Spirit show us the evidence of God reigning work in our lives, then the gifts of the Spirit demonstrate his power and are how we build one another up in God's love.
We want you to see that the fruit of the Spirit (character) supersedes the gifts of the Spirit. What kind of Leader are you if you don't walk in love, joy, peace, patience...? How can you be merciful and unkind? How will you teach well if you're not patient? You get the idea.

1.Who is the Holy Spirit and why does Jesus say He is our our advocate?
2.What is the purpose of the gifts he gives his church?
3.How are spiritual gifts different than talents or natural abilities?
4. Why do you think God gives different gifts to different people?
5. When have you felt especially used by God to encourage another person towards Jesus?
6. What kind of needs around you do you notice most? (Teaching, helping, leading, encouraging, etc...)
7. What holds students back from using the gifts the Holy Spirit has given?
